Brian Quavar

Mental Health Crisis Support Volunteer, Community activist, visual storyteller, photographer and an active partner of the JouvayFest Creative Collective.

Brian has significant experience teaching, coaching and training children and young adults in academia, work related activities and life skills. He is a former youth football manager guiding and mentoring adolescent team members, using his skills, experience and creativity in developing and implementing community outreach projects. 

Brian is a community event photographer with a passion for the African-Caribbean diaspora capturing people and events in their most natural state he says “ I capture it as I see it ”. He captures images at social and work based events on behalf of Embassies, High Commissions, Civil Society Organisations, and Government Departments in the presence of Prime Ministers, Governor Generals and other dignitaries, as well as sporting heroes and artistes.

He collaborates with promoters of diaspora cultural events and undertakes projects that pays homage to carnivals around the world.
